PETE
OTIS IS A TORONTO-BASED SONGWRITER, MUSIC PUBLISHER
and PERFORMER. He has been active in the Canadian music
industry for over 25 years - first and foremost
as a field representative and long-standing
member of the
Society of Composers, Authors and
Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) and also
as a member of the Songwriter's
Association of Canada (SAC), the Canadian Academy of
Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS)
and the Toronto Blues Society. [scroll

IN
1992, Pete was awarded a Commemorative Medal from the
Prime Minister of Canada on the 125th anniversary of
Canadian Confederation for his efforts and
contributions to music and community arts. He has
also been recognized by the Scarborough Arts Council
with an award for his work promoting Macedonian music
and culture in Ontario.
PETE has also worked with a number
of notable musicians and performed as a member of various
bands including THE PAPE
GANG with Dave
Wipper (Alannah Myles) and Rick
Morrison (Long John Baldry), THE YOTES PROJECT
with Bobby Blake (Madcats) and
THE SILVER
DOLLARS with Mike McKenna
(McKenna Mendelson Mainline). Other
musicians Pete has worked with
include: Al
Lerman (Fathead), Gary McCracken (Max Webster), Jerry Baird
(Ronnie Hawkins), and Grant
Fullerton (Lighthouse / Madcats).
